The Cyber Crime Wave

August 27, 2019

Join Miller & Martin as we host the August meeting of the Chattanooga Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel. The program is open to in-house attorneys, as well as corporate information technology/security officers.

The CLE program will explore cybersecurity threats companies face today and the potential for massive financial losses, reputation and legal risks as a result of being the target of financial crimes or data breaches. A company’s data and network security can be compromised when sophisticated cyber criminals deploy such schemes as email phishing, computer hacking, social engineering, ransomware, malware, wire fraud, identity theft, and more to gain access to security controls, as well as confidential financial and personal information. This presentation will cover corporate case studies demonstrating the real impact of cyber attacks; privacy & data security standards and compliance; effective strategies to reduce risk and liabilities; and best practices for data breach response and crisis management in the event of an attack.
