Marcy Eason Helps Kick Off TN Supreme Court Access to Justice Initiative

March 17, 2017

Miller & Martin attorney, Marcy Eason, along with TN Supreme Court Justice Cornelia Clark and others in the legal community will speak March 21 at the Hamilton County Circuit Courthouse Rotunda in Chattanooga as part of a statewide press conference circuit kicking off the Tennessee Supreme Court’s Access to Justice Initiative. Ms. Eason serves as the chair of the Access to Justice Commission.

The press conference - to be held simultaneously at 1:30 pm (CDT)/2:30 pm EST across the state in five cities including Chattanooga, Memphis, Jackson, Nashville and Knoxville - will kick off the Tennessee Supreme Court's Access to Justice Initiative, which promotes Tennesseans receiving free legal advice through free legal clinics and educational events.

Justice Clark will also announce a proclamation from the city mayor declaring April 1 as a Public Service Day called #Help4TNDay. The commission encourages attorneys to volunteer their time to help answer legal questions for Tennesseans who visit local legal clinics on this day. For a list of free legal clinics and events for West, Middle and East Tennessee, as well as information for attorneys who wish to volunteer, visit www.help4tn.org and click on the #Help4TNDay logo.
