Attorney Michael Dumitru Appointed as Tennessee Bar Examiner

Miller & Martin attorney Michael Dumitru has been appointed by the Tennessee Supreme Court to a five-year term as a Tennessee Bar Examiner serving as a special assistant to the Tennessee Board of Law Examiners. The Board of Law Examiners governs the examination and licensing of attorneys who wish to practice law in Tennessee. The Board employs 12 special assistants - four from each grand division of the State of Tennessee - as bar examiners who are responsible for preparing and grading essays for the Tennessee Bar Exam.

Mr. Dumitru fills a vacancy representing the East grand division left by Bob Parsley, a Miller & Martin attorney who was recently appointed to the Tennessee Board of Law Examiners.

Mr. Dumitru, a Member with Miller & Martin's Chattanooga office, is a commercial litigator who represents a vast array of clients, from large corporations to local businesses and individuals. He has represented health care providers in government investigations and disputes with payors and has litigated complex commercial cases, contract disputes, claims between members of closely held companies, lawsuits involving public utility companies, construction disputes, and adversary proceedings in bankruptcy.
