The Department of Labor Provides Clarification as to When Employees Can Use FMLA Leave to Care for Adult Children

The Department of Labor (DOL) has issued a new Administrator's Interpretation to clarify the definition of the terms "son or daughter" when they are used in the context of the FMLA regulations addressing an employee's right to use FMLA leave to care for an adult (18 or older) "son or daughter" who has a serious health condition.
