Article: Getting Out of Jury Duty — Another Option for Tennessee Employers?
Brad Harvey authored "Getting Out of Jury Duty — Another Option for Tennessee Employers," featured in theMay 2010 Tennessee Employment Law Letter. A Tennessee Court of Appeals decision recently became the first Tennessee case to consider the enforceability of predispute jury waivers. While the jury waiver in the case was included in loan documents and didn’t involve an employment dispute, the case nevertheless could be an important precedent for Tennessee employers.
