Joe Richardson concentrates his practice in corporations, taxation, and estate planning. He is lead counsel for two local real estate developers and lead counsel for a local landfill operator. He has handled the sale of a number of businesses including sale of the a major, international soft drink bottling company. He is Trustee and Counsel to several family trusts.

Mr. Richardson served as Secretary of the Tennessee Bar Association Committee to draft a review of the Tennessee Business Corporation Act. He is a member of the Real Estate and Probate, Corporate, and Tax Sections in the American Bar Association. He is a former member of the Board of Directors and Secretary of Boys' Club, Inc., and a former member of the Board of Directors and President of Healthhouse of Chattanooga, Inc.

Mr. Richardson received a B.A. from Vanderbilt University in 1956, and an LL.B. in 1961.
